Arkie C. McCullum, 83, of Corydon, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. He was born October 24, 1941, in Corydon, to the late Audron A. and Nellie W. Briles McCullum. He was a retired truck driver, was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W., the Moose Lodge , and the Eagles Lodge, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Edith J. Miller McCullum Thompson and Patsy Coffman McCullum; his son, Todd J. McCullum; his brother, Dean McCullum; and his sister, Catherine Hammond.
Survivors include his son, Lee E. McCullum (Tinya Abreu); his daughter, Lisa K. Gaddis (Stan); his companion of 20 years, Linda Pittman; his brother, Denny McCullum; his sister, Linda Wiseman; his grandchildren, Tia Dearth, Eric McCullum, Callie Booth, Alexis McCullum, Jacob McCullum, Irie Papsodero, Victoria Abreu, Christopher Chrusceil, Ryan Chrusceil, Brandon Chrusceil, Daniel Chrusceil, Elizabeth Dalton, and Del Gaddis; and 6 great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
