Rebecca “Becky” Haught of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by her beloved husband, Kenny, and her two loving sons, J.C. and Cody.
Becky was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was the center of her universe. She cherished every moment spent with Kenny, her partner of 32 years, and took immense pride in her sons, who carry forward her values of empathy and resilience. In recent years, she found boundless joy in her two granddaughters, Lena and Lexi, who brought even more light into her life.
A natural hostess, Becky loved to fill their home with laughter, warmth, and her famous homemade meals during family gatherings. She proudly supported Kenny at the Meade County Fair each year, where she helped in the fair office with a smile on her face. Becky’s life on the farm as co-owner of Oak Ridge Angus brought her immense joy, particularly in raising her beloved Angus cattle. Her love for animals was also evident in her deep bond with her dog, Ellie.
Becky was a passionate fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats, and her enthusiasm for the team was infectious. Whether cheering them on from the stands or hosting game day gatherings, she embraced every opportunity to celebrate her favorite team with family and friends.
Professionally, Becky dedicated over 30 years to her role as a licensed investment banker at WesBanco, where she built lasting relationships and made a significant impact on her clients and colleagues. Her love and light will forever remain in our hearts.
Becky is survived by her husband, Kenny; her sons, J.C. (Morgan) and Cody; her loving mother, Valinda Hughes; her father, Henry (Betty) Hughes; her sister, Lori (Steve) Hodges; her brother, Michael Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. in the Home and Garden Building at the Meade County Fair Grounds (884 Hillcrest Dr. Brandenburg, KY 40108).
