Betty Louise (Vincent) Bristoe

Mrs. Betty Louise Bristoe, age 83, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Hosparus In-patient unit of Norton Hospital.  Betty was born on March 29, 1941, the daughter of Stanley and Mable Louise (Beld) Vincent.

     Betty was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association).  She was a longtime volunteer for the food pantry at Journey Church, where she also enjoyed making floral arrangements for the church.  She loved doing any type of craft.  When she was able, she also loved playing softball for her Phillip Morris work family and also was an avid volleyball player.  Most of all, Betty loved her family and loved to “boss” them around.

      Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Clifton “Pops” Bristoe; her brother, Edward Lee Vincent; two grandchildren, Derik Vincent Walker, and Mackenzie; and her great granddaughter, Gracie.  She is survived by four daughters, Darcy Townsend, Cheryl (Joe) Bruner, Vicki S. Key, and Toye (Cecil) Ramey; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; her great-great grandson; her brother-in-law, Butch Bristoe; and many cousins.

      Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with her good friend, Mary Harbison officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Bethany Cemetery in Louisville, KY.  The funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
