James Ray Hosey, 76, of Big Spring, KY passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY with his family by his side.
After dedicating many years of honorable service to the United States Army, Mr. Hosey retired, having exemplified the virtues of duty and commitment to his nation. Mr. Hosey found joy in the serenity of nature, casting his line as an avid fisherman. His passion for fishing was only eclipsed by the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored and spoiled.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edeltraud B. Hosey
Survivors include two sons, Frank Hosey & his wife, Nadia, James Hosey & his wife, Mary; three grandchildren, Tucker, Steven, Katelynn; one sister, Patti Henegar; and a host of extended family & friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Hosey will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A private burial with military honors will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
