According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), they responded to a single-vehicle collision in Meade County on Sunday morning that tragically resulted in a fatality.
On October 20, at approximately 11:24 a.m., KSP Post 4 received a call from the Meade County Sheriff’s Office requesting that KSP investigate a single-vehicle collision near the 4,500 block of Garrett Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Dustin C. Gray, 30, of Bardstown, was operating a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Garrett Road when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and left the roadway, striking a utility pole.
Gray was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
The affected portion of Garrett Road was closed for several hours to allow troopers to reconstruct the collision. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by the Meade County EMS, Ekron Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Meade County Coroner’s Office. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Kyle Nichols.
