Multi-county high-speed chase ends in Meade County

Late Monday evening, Jan. 22, a police chase entered Meade County from Hardin County. Timothy Briar Quiggins, 27, of Fairdale, drove a motorcycle at extremely high rates of speeds with no lights on through Flaherty on HWY 313 to Brandenburg. He then led officers back out of Brandenburg towards Flaherty. He was eventually apprehended at the intersection of HWY 313 and Woodland Rd. The video below shows the suspect passing Chism Realty in Brandenburg Station at a high rate of speed with multiple law enforcement vehicles in pursuit (video provided by Brian Chism).




Quiggins was taken into custody by Kentucky State Trooper John Goldsborough and lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on multiple charges, including felony offenses. Quiggins is charged with speeding 26 mph or > of the speed limit; fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle); possession of a firearm by convicted felon; possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, fentanyl; possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, hydrocodone; reckless driving; operating on suspended or revoked license; improper equipment; and no registration plates.
