Samuel Taylor Pearson

Samuel Taylor Pearson, 76, Radcliff, KY passed away, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side.

Sam lived a life marked by courage, passion, and an unwavering commitment to service. Sam was a proud retiree of the United States Army, where he served with distinction during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the Army, Sam continued to serve through his work with AGC Automotive. Perhaps most notable was Sam's extraordinary commitment to the Vine Grove Fire Department. For 41 years he served while making it to the rank of deputy chief. Outside of his professional life, Sam's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family at the many sporting events and dance productions they participated in. You could also find him playing Santa and riding the fire truck through town at Christmas time.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Joy Pearson; his father, John Pearson; and his mother, Eva Pearson.

Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife, Cheryl Pearson; three children, Kellee Stankovich & her husband, Steve, Holly Sheroan & her husband, Matt, Lee Pearson; five grandchildren, Jack, Keira, Joseph, Lukas, Shannon; three bonus daughters, Sarah Meredith, Suzanne Hart, and Shannon Childers; six bonus grandchildren, McKenzie & her husband, Tyler, Madisen, Nathan, Hannah, Autumn, Carson; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Bragg & her husband, Rick, Karen Nill & her husband, Bryan; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Chism Family Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Pearson will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Mark Powell officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
