usan Celeste Ammons, age 57, passed away peacefully at her home in Hardinsburg, KY, on Friday, October 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on October 2, 1967, the daughter of Robert Lee and Carol Sue (Powell) Ammons.

Susan held a degree in interior design and was a top-notch decorator and designer. She also had a love for crafting. Susan was an avid Madness Beast fan and could always be found at the baseball field cheering on her favorite baseball player. If she wasn’t on the baseball field, she loved to be on the beach and spending as much time as she could with her beloved friends. Most of all, Susan cherished spending time with her grandchildren and loved to travel with her sister, Tracy.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lee Page Stivers. She is survived by her two children, David (Joy) Ammons and Chelsea (Bryan) Berkey; three grandchildren, Cash Ammons, Damyn Lee Berkey and Ophelia Jo Smith; the man that lived in her house, Kevin Bogard and his children, Clay Bogard and Desiree (Danny) Smith; her sister, Tracy (Robby) Smallwood; and three brothers, Robbie (Madonna) Ammons, Brian (Benita) Ammons and Chris Ammons.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the Madness Baseball Organization.
